I have been doing it wrong!

Sam came upstairs and asked me if I could help her back comb her hair...or something like that. My first answer was "No" which was apparently the wrong answer. So, I went over to help. After only a few seconds of trying, I was told "No thank you. I think I can do this myself." In my defense, I have NO idea what I was trying to do. Seemed to me that I was putting more knots in her hair rather than combing them out.

I asked why she didn't just buy a "bump it" *as shown on TV*, to which she replied that she had one but her hair wasn't thick enough so it didn't work.

Then she stopped combing for a minute and I asked if she was done. No, she just had to put a few more knots in. All these years I have been doing it wrong! I combed her hair, my own, and her sisters, to remove the knots when, apparently, I was supposed to be ADDING knots.

Finally the work is done and the hair is finished. It looks pretty good (don't tell her I said that). I think I will stick with combing mine out and leaving it or putting it into a pony tail. It is easier, and by the looks of the products Sam uses, it is cheaper, too!
